Mrs. Eelman has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She began teaching in 1992, joining the HCA faculty in 1997. Leaving to raise a family in 2000, she returned in 2008. With so many years of teaching experience in preschool through eighth grade, she enjoys the unique aspects each age offers.
Mrs. Eelman spent eleven years teaching middle school language arts at Hawthorne Christian Academy and loves the exuberant spirit of middle school students. She is now the Director of Guidance for the High School.
When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Michael, a Hawthorne Christian Academy alumnus, and her children, Rachel and Christopher, both of whom attended HCA.
Mrs. Eelman finds the words of Romans 8:28 comforting as believers recognize “that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”
